In this Privacy Statement the terms “we” and “our” refer to Straight In Publications, including all our Regional Offices in different geographic locations. This Privacy Statement explains Straight In Publications’ practices regarding personal information of the visitors to the Website as well as those who have transactions with us through telephone, Internet, faxes and other means of communications.

1. What personal information we collect and why

(a) Through contact forms

When you fill and submit a contact for form on our Website, we’ll ask you to provide your name, email address, and organization (optional). We’ll use this information to respond to your requests, send you information about your order(s) including transaction details and resolve your complaint(s).

When you submit a product review through our Website, we’ll ask you to provide your name, email address, organization (optional) and link (optional) all of which except the email address would be displayed publicly on the respective product page upon review approval and publication. The purpose of our retention of this information is to be able to display it publicly in order for the written review to appear authentic. The retention of your email address is for us to be able to contact you to thank you for your review and/or ask you about possible unclear message(s) behind it, grammatical, or spelling mistakes.

During online checkout through our Website, we’ll attempt to automatically determine your approximate location and IP address. We’ll use this for purpose of estimating taxes and shipping costs.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for X amount of years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments the purchase total will be passed to PayPal. In turn, the name and email address under the purchasing PayPal account will be passed to us which we would retain for any possible refund transactions. (d)  While visiting our Website

We’ll use cookies to keep track of your shopping cart contents. These cookies include no personal data and simply indicate the products to be checked out later.  These cookies will be saved in your browser for one year unless you take action to delete them yourself instructions for which are provided by your browser manufacturer.

Google Analytics (Google LLC), the service used by Straight In Publications, allows to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of website visitor behavior. Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of this Website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. 2. When we share personal information

From time to time we engage unaffiliated third parties to perform certain services or provide promotional services to our customers, or at their request we may connect customers with third party providers as part of programs that we offer.  In these circumstances, the personal information that the third party receives is limited to only the information held by us that they need in order to render their services to us and/or to facilitate your participation in the program.
